I’m trying to decide if I should look into getting 4WD or 2WD for it. I will primarily use it on streets in the Southwest and on sporadic camping trips with gravel or dirt roads. Should I spend the extra cash on a 4WD or save it for a 2WD? Furthermore, how frequently did you guys have to use 4WD when eating tacos?

A 2WD TRD Sport could do the job. Save the extra cash unless you’re planning regular off-road adventures where 4WD would be essential.

was in the identical vessel. Ninety percent of the time, I use it on pavement in sunny Southern California. On many off-road and camping excursions, the 2WD Sport DCLB performs admirably. Just be aware of your boundaries and refrain from pushing yourself.

Although I don’t do any serious off-roading, I did recently take my TRD Sport into a BLM woodland and enjoyed using 4H on one of the more forgiving dirt roads. I was slipping a little less and everything felt a little better. reached a few hardly technical areas and utilized 4L for a little moment. Despite the fact that 2WD will save you a ton of money, all you get is a large, slow car with slightly greater carrying capacity.
