Anyone else noticed loose trim around the cupholder?

Has anyone else noticed that the silver trim around the top of the center cupholder or coin holder is a bit loose? Mine rattles when touched, and it feels like it’s just sitting there instead of being secure. I don’t touch it often, but now that I’ve noticed it, I’m wondering if this is common. My truck is a 2022, and I’m guessing maybe the adhesive or clips holding it have worn out after two years. Anyone else having the same issue?

I’ve got a 2019 Offroad, and that part on mine was chrome. I replaced it with a chrome delete kit. On mine, it’s held in place by small plastic clips. I doubt they changed the design between 2019 and 2022, but who knows? It’s possible that some of your clips are broken.

Thanks for the info! It’s possible the clips have loosened up over the years.

Where did you get your chrome delete kit? Mine’s flaking like crazy, and I’ve been wanting to replace it.

That area drives me nuts. I’ve been tempted to just rip the whole thing out.

I’ve got a 2023, and I ended up removing the trim, painting it, and then putting it back. I added a bit of glue behind it to keep it secure and quiet.

That’s a good idea. I tried pulling mine out gently, but it wouldn’t budge. I think it might still have a small lip or clip holding it in. Thanks for the tip!

No problem! Try using a thin screwdriver. There are about four small barbs on the trim piece holding it in place.
