Anyone got locker suggestions?

2023 TRD Sport 4x4
I’m aware the Off-Road model comes with a different axle. I’d rather not swap it since the truck is new. Just curious about what lockers people here are using and how they’re holding up. Air or electric options? Favorite brands? Any tips?

Man, I regret not buying a soft topper when they were still under a grand.

Managed to snag mine from a guy who got T-boned. $600, not bad, right?

Eaton and ARB are pretty popular around here. If you’re pushing your truck to where a locker is needed, sometimes a regear makes sense too while you’re at it.

Does that mean you have to re-gear the front as well?

@LisaMoore
Yeah, you gotta match the ratios front and back or you’ll run into issues when you’re in 4x4.

Anyone tried the TORQ front locker? It’s an auto one, but I worry it could lock up at the wrong time.

@Axel
Haven’t come across anyone using it, sorry…

Why not just weld the spider gears? /s

I’m all for living on the edge, but maybe not with my daily driver! If only I could snag a ‘95 off Craigslist for $700 like back in the day…

Easiest solution: sell your truck and buy one with a locker already installed.

That sounds like way too much effort! Haha
