Best bed rack for ROAM Vagabond RTT, 5" or 8" Billie Bars?

I’m planning to get the ROAM Vagabond RTT soon and need a bed rack to go with it.

I’ve been looking at Billie Bars since they work with a soft cover if I decide to get one later. I’m stuck between the 5" and 8" bars.

I want the tent to sit as flush as possible with the cab for better gas mileage and garage clearance, but I also like the extra space the 8" bars give for accessing the bed.

Anyone running this setup? Would love to hear opinions. I tried searching but didn’t find much. Thanks!

I have the 5" Billie Bar racks with an iKamper Skycamp Mini 3.0. The RTT sits flush with the cab, which I love. I also have a telescoping Peragon Tonneau cover, and it still opens easily with the bars on. I can lock up anything in the bed and keep the tent mounted at the same time.

Ok thanks! Do you think it’s hard to get stuff out of the bed with only the 5" bars?
