I noticed the cv boot is leaking from both ends. One side clearly slipped on the small end but I’m not sure why it’s also leaking from the big side. Any ideas what might cause that?
Yeah… it’s leaking from both sides. The small end slipped, that’s clear. But what could cause it to leak from the bigger side too?
SDHQ has solid replacement boots that hold up better than the stock ones. Leaks start after a while so it’s pretty common. You could try new clamps but honestly swapping out the boots and grease would be better.
Did you just put in a lift kit? That kind of leak can happen from a change in angle if you lifted it.

A 2 inch lift shouldn’t really cause that unless someone hit it with a tool during the install.
Try using a zip tie instead of the clamp. You can also get a full cv shaft from Advance Auto. It’s usually easier to swap the whole shaft than just messing with the boot alone.
