Kind of wild… 80,000 miles. Even if it was 4x4, I still can’t picture it being worth that much.
Whoever gets there first takes it I guess haha

I wonder what happens to the one who comes second

Probably ends up with one that’s already been messed with.
I bought my 2004 at 100k miles for $6,000. Sold it at 150k miles for $10,000. Someone will pay that price for sure.

Bought my 1999 V6 Extended Cab 4x4 with 120k miles in 2014 for $10.5k. Sold it in 2021 for $14.8k with 160k.
Stuff like this reminds me I drive too much. My 2020 already has 140k miles. And that’s after I slowed down a lot.

Same here, 130k on my 2020. But I love road trips and my Tacoma has never let me down.
I know it’s not a popular opinion, but for 80k miles in clean shape, $17.5k doesn’t sound too crazy. Especially with how Tacomas are priced these days.

Yeah, a first gen with that low mileage and no signs of abuse is rare.
@Arun
As long as everything looks original and matches.

Exactly. If it’s lived in Ventura its whole life, I’d put it on Bring a Trailer instead of Facebook Marketplace.
@Arun
Still just a truck though.

That kind of money is only there for 4WD. Not 2WD.
If it was 4x4, selling it for that price would be easy. Being a PreRunner makes the price kinda silly.
It’s worth whatever someone’s willing to pay. I bet someone buys it for that or close to it.
Edit: This is part of why prices have gone so high the past few years.

That’s because the Fed kept printing money nonstop.

You’re saying people overpaying for old Toyotas caused inflation? Haha okay.
Honestly, I’d pay it if I was shopping again. Feels like a new truck and super reliable.
Edit: I’d pay that for a 4WD with a locker. If it’s 2WD, maybe $11k tops.
That’s more than my mom paid in 2003 for hers, and it only had 2,000 miles.
