Does Blue Crush Metallic actually appear purple?

I’m considering ordering a TRD off-road crew cab long bed this year and I’m debating between Blue Crush Metallic and Magnetic Gray Metallic. I’ve heard that the Blue Crush can look almost purple in person. Has anyone seen one or does anyone own one to confirm this?

I saw one at work, and it does have a purple tint in certain lighting. But outside, it’s definitely more blue. I had some trucks with a similar color, and I remember that after waxing, the paint sometimes looked purple

I actually like that color, but everyone has their preferences

That’s what I was worried about. I guess I’ll stick with MGM unless they bring back lunar rock

I don’t mind it, but I was hoping it would be closer to the dark blue they used to have. My sister-in-law has a 2012 in dark blue, and it’s one of my favorites

I have the Midnight Black Metallic, and when it’s clean and waxed, it looks almost navy blue. But that doesn’t last long, unfortunately

MGM is classic. I think limited edition colors look outdated pretty quickly after a few years. There aren’t many timeless limited colors

I wish I could find a 22 MGM nearby

From what I’ve seen, it appears blue outside but looks more purple-blue inside or on darker days

I’ve had my truck for almost two weeks now, and I really love the color. It looks a bit purple at night, but overall, I think it’s a nice shade

I think Toyota is using that color on the Corolla and possibly the Corolla Cross. It might be easier to find one of those, so you can check out the color in person

To me, it looks purple
