Been searching for a while and finally got my hands on a 2021 Tacoma SR i4 TSS. It had 20,300 miles and I paid 29k out the door.
I spent a lot of time reading through this forum before deciding what I wanted, so I figured I’d share my experience.
Had a tough time picking between the i4 and v6. Went to the dealership to test them out and ended up going with the i4. The price jump for the v6 just wasn’t worth it for me since I don’t plan on towing much. If I ever need to, I think the i4 will manage. I’d rather have lower mileage than more horsepower. I do feel like I could use more power on the highway, but the ECT Power mode helps more than I expected.
No regrets so far… loving it!
Unrelated to the truck: I really hate how dealerships are forcing LoJack add-ons. My total price included an $800 fee for LoJack and window tint. Told them to take it off and drop the price… they lowered the price but wouldn’t budge on the LoJack/tint. If you’re buying, keep an eye on those extra fees.
