I’m thrilled to say I just got my first truck! I went with a 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. As someone new to this, does anyone know where I can find a reliable guide for wheels and tires specifically for 4th gens?
I’m looking into wheels and tires for my first 4th Gen Tacoma too. This forum has some great advice and examples to check out.
Also, these videos were super helpful: video 1 and video 2.
Some things I’ve learned so far:
The wheelbase is wider compared to earlier generations, so avoid negative offset wheels. A +25 to +38 offset seems to be a good range for a slight poke.
You can fit 33” tires without needing a lift or any mods. That’s a big improvement from earlier models. The second video shows a cool setup with Falken Wildpeak AT4W 285s (285/70R17) on Black Rhino Fuji 17” +38 offset wheels. It looks clean and balanced.
The most popular tires seem to be Falken Wildpeak or BFG KO3s. I’m leaning towards the Falkens because they work great off-road and in snow, which is what I need.
