How does the Toyota Tacoma Manual Transmission work?

Hey Buddies,

I’m considering purchasing a Toyota Tacoma and I’m interested in the manual transmission option. I’ve heard mixed opinions about it and would love to hear from those who have driven or owned one. How does the manual transmission perform in the Toyota Tacoma, especially in terms of reliability, driving experience, and maintenance costs? Any pros and cons you can share would be really helpful in making my decision.

Looking forward to your responses…

The Toyota Tacoma’s manual transmission involves shifting gears manually using a stick shift. The shift pattern has reverse up and to the left. Clutch resistance is firm but manageable. Driving it is smooth, but it’s not built for speed. There can be issues with shifting into reverse or first gear.
