Hello guyz…
I hope you’re all doing well! I just finished my scheduled maintenance on my 2020 Toyota Tacoma, but I can’t seem to figure out how to reset the maintenance light on the dashboard. It’s been driving me a little nuts!
I’ve looked through the owner’s manual, but the instructions seem a bit unclear. If anyone could walk me through the steps or share any tips on resetting the maintenance light, I would really appreciate it.

Here are the steps to reset the maintenance light on your 2020 Toyota Tacoma:
- Turn on the ignition: Press the engine start/stop button twice without pressing the brake pedal. This will turn on the vehicle’s electronics without starting the engine.
- Navigate to the settings: Use the left and right arrow buttons on your steering wheel to navigate to the gear icon on the display.
- Select maintenance reset: Use the up and down arrows to find the “Maintenance Reset” option and press the center button to select it.
- Confirm the reset: Press the center button again to confirm the reset. You should see a message indicating that the maintenance reset is complete.
I had the same issue with my Tacoma—super annoying, right? But no worries, I got you. You can also try this:
- Turn the key to “On” (don’t start the engine).
- Set the odometer to “Trip A.”
- Turn the key off.
- Hold down the trip meter reset button.
- While holding it, turn the key back to “On.”
- Keep holding the button until the light goes off. Done!!!..
