How to Reset the Maintenance Light on My Toyota Tacoma?

Hello guyz…
I hope you’re all doing well! I just finished my scheduled maintenance on my 2020 Toyota Tacoma, but I can’t seem to figure out how to reset the maintenance light on the dashboard. It’s been driving me a little nuts!

I’ve looked through the owner’s manual, but the instructions seem a bit unclear. If anyone could walk me through the steps or share any tips on resetting the maintenance light, I would really appreciate it.

Here are the steps to reset the maintenance light on your 2020 Toyota Tacoma:

  1. Turn on the ignition: Press the engine start/stop button twice without pressing the brake pedal. This will turn on the vehicle’s electronics without starting the engine.
  2. Navigate to the settings: Use the left and right arrow buttons on your steering wheel to navigate to the gear icon on the display.
  3. Select maintenance reset: Use the up and down arrows to find the “Maintenance Reset” option and press the center button to select it.
  4. Confirm the reset: Press the center button again to confirm the reset. You should see a message indicating that the maintenance reset is complete.

I had the same issue with my Tacoma—super annoying, right? But no worries, I got you. You can also try this:

  1. Turn the key to “On” (don’t start the engine).
  2. Set the odometer to “Trip A.”
  3. Turn the key off.
  4. Hold down the trip meter reset button.
  5. While holding it, turn the key back to “On.”
  6. Keep holding the button until the light goes off. Done!!!..
