I am looking for a hard tonneau cover suggestions

I purchased a somewhat used 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road with an extended bed (access cab) and am thinking about getting a tonneau cover to lock objects in the truck when parked.

I’ve never owned a truck, so I’m not too familiar with tonneau covers, but I’m guessing I want a hard shell that folds. Also, are there covers that can be readily removed to enable full bed access? I periodically want to haul my motorcycle on it.

Is this the very best? 2023 Toyota Tacoma Bed Cover For Your Truck - Peragon® The price clearly suggests this lol.

Are there any decent models or respected manufacturers you can recommend? Thank you in advance.

I am not a fan of my soft tri-fold. Water collects on it after a rainstorm, and it bulges up as I drive at high speeds. The fact that it only cost me less than $250 is a plus.

I recently bought a used 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and faced the same decision about tonneau covers. I also wanted a hard shell that folds for easy access and security but needed to be able to remove it when hauling larger items like my motorcycle. From my experience, a folding hard tonneau cover is great for both protection and flexibility. I found models from manufacturers like Retrax and Bak Industries to be highly recommended. They offer hard covers that are durable, secure, and can be easily removed or folded to access the full bed. The Peragon cover you mentioned is also well-regarded, but comparing features and prices can help you find the best option for your needs.

Congrats on your Tacoma! For a hard shell tonneau cover that folds and offers full bed access, you might want to consider models from reputable brands like Bak Industries, Extang, or TruXedo. These manufacturers are known for their durable, versatile covers that can be easily removed or folded to accommodate larger loads like motorcycles. The Peragon® cover you mentioned is highly regarded for its quality, but there are other good options out there depending on your budget and preferences. Look for features like ease of installation, security, and weather resistance to ensure you get the best fit for your needs.
