I recently took my new TRD Sport through snow in TX and it handled so well, has anyone blacked out the emblem on the grill? Is there a kit to buy or do you need to paint it yourself?

I recently drove my new TRD Sport through snow here in Texas and it handled like a champ. Now I’m wondering if anyone has blacked out the emblem on the grill. Can you buy a blacked-out emblem or do you have to paint it yourself?

Not sure about the newer models, but I managed to remove mine from the back and used Plasti Dip to cover it. It’s held up really well for about 5 years, even through Canadian winters.

If there’s a sensor behind it, I wouldn’t recommend painting over it. Haha, you might mess it up!

They actually make a plastic cover you can buy aftermarket. I used it on my 4Runner and it worked perfectly, found it on Amazon.
