Would anyone happen to have any pictures of a generation 2 seat delete? Also, any tips or observations that you wish you had known earlier? Gratitude, taco heads!
There are several on the Tacoma world forums. I haven’t done it yet on my 2.5 gen, but planning on it soon, so looked into it. You can do DIY or there are kits available (although somewhat expensive). I believe the biggest issue is the added road noise if you don’t insulate the rear wall after removing the seats.
@Brooklyn Gotchya The noise never even crossed my mind. Since my dogs are becoming older and I have a 2012, I would like to provide my boys more room in the backseat and a comfortable platform. I’ll get started and watch more TV, lol. Thank you very much!
When I decided to do a seat delete on my second-generation Toyota Tacoma, I found some helpful pictures on Tacoma forums and social media groups. The process involves removing the rear seats to create more cargo space or a flat storage area. One tip I wish I’d known earlier is to keep all the bolts and clips organized, as you might need them later. Also, adding a rubber mat or carpet to the newly exposed area can help protect the truck bed and reduce noise. Checking out DIY videos and forum threads beforehand made the job much smoother. Good luck, fellow taco heads!
