Is anyone running Discount Tire's Rocky Mountain A/T 265/75R16 in SL class?

Hi guys,

I’m curious if anyone has tried the Discount Tire branded Rocky Mountain 265/75/16 SL/C rated tires. I was considering the Toyo Open Country A/T III, but the Discount Tire Rocky Mountains would save me $600 for all five (including the spare). I’d prefer not to spend $1,500 on tires if I can avoid it.

For context, my truck is my daily commuter, and we use it for road trips, exploring dirt roads to ghost towns, hot springs, and similar destinations. I’m not into rock crawling. Some trails are fairly technical, but we go slow and follow the bigger vehicles. I recently saw a video highlighting the benefits of SL tires.

I currently have Nitto Ridge Grapplers in the stock size, and they wore out unevenly, leading to a recommendation for replacement. It looks like the Rocky Mountains have the same snow rating as the Toyos, but I can’t find any reviews on them.

Any thoughts or reviews would be appreciated.

howdy pals, people are specifically using that size and class of Rocky Mountain A/T tires on a Mercedes SL class.
