Is it really worth it to search for a used Tacoma? I’ve started looking to buy one and noticed that used prices are often just as high or even higher than new ones In many cases, you can get a new one for just 2 to 4 grand more What have you all experienced Are there any good used options out there I’m in New England and considering the TRD Off Road or PRO from 2017 and up
Honestly, you’d probably be better off going for new The prices for used Tacomas are just wild
It really comes down to what features you want If you find a used one with under 50k miles that has everything you’re looking for, then go for it I bought my Tacoma used because I couldn’t find a new TRD Off Road with a long bed back then
I’m in the same boat I have a 2019 TRD Off Road in Cavalry Blue with a 6-foot bed It really depends on how patient you are If Flippa can wait around a year for the exact vehicle they want, then that could work
I got mine used with only 3k miles on it in Blue Crush with everything I wanted for 43k
I had a similar experience I got a 2016 model with all the options I wanted and under 50k miles If the frame looks good and isn’t rusted out, I don’t see any reason not to buy used
I also wanted the access cab with a long bed and that was hard to find
The long bed really does make a difference I had to get mine in Vegas too
In my area, the best deal is to go new On average, I’ve always said I’d never buy new because I didn’t see the value until I decided I wanted a Tacoma I don’t regret getting a new one
Same for me I was just looking for a basic SR with four doors and nothing used was cheaper than getting new
I recently had my vehicle totaled, so I ended up buying a used 2017 with 66k miles The previous owner left the original sticker in the glove box and I paid 2k less than he did I’m actually pretty satisfied with the purchase since it’s in great shape and I really needed a vehicle That’s just how the market is at the moment If you can wait a bit, I’d recommend it You can order a new one, but I’ve heard people say it could take up to a year to get it
That’s crazy But I guess that’s just the way the market is I’m starting to understand Hoping to find something soon, maybe before the year ends I feel like my options might be pretty limited
