I adore them, but how much maintenance would a first-generation taco really require? Is it better to simply get a newer, more expensive car?

My everyday is a 2004 1st generation 2.4l single cab 2wd. adore it fantastic on petrol. Liquid brakes and easy to use. adequate passing power, though not quite perfect.
