I recently got a 2023 TRD Off Road and am thinking about getting a teardrop trailer for light off-roading here in Wisconsin. Are disc brake conversion kits worth it, or should I just install larger front discs and get trailer brakes? This will be a spring project, so I have some time to consider my options.

Disk brakes are not as long-lasting as drum brakes. Additionally, many cars’ rear calipers would freeze while I worked in a garage.
