Is the 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road a good buy?

Hey y’all, I’m thinking about getting a 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I’ve never owned a truck before, been driving a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek but I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth going for the tech package with Crawl Control and the other features like Multi-Terrain Monitor (MTM) and Multi-Terrain Select (MTS). Has anyone here actually used these features? I’ve seen some videos where Crawl Control helps a lot in deep sand, and MTS worked like a pseudo front locker, which was cooler than I expected .

Do y’all think these upgrades are worth it in the long run, especially for resale value?

Honestly, it’s not something you’ll be using often. Fun fact: adding the Crawl Control feature takes up your sunglasses holder. So, there’s that.

:joy: I’m dying over here, that’s hilarious.

If you wanna skip the tech headache, just get the 6MT problem solved .

Haha, real talk. I’ve got Crawl Control, and now I’m always trying to find a spot for my glasses. It’s a bit of a struggle, not gonna lie.

You know, I just keep mine on my head. If it’s cloudy or nighttime, they go straight to the hat. Easy fix.

Wait, so THAT’S why I don’t have a place for my sunglasses? I always thought it was just bad design

This is one of the many reasons I went with the manual transmission. Problem solved :sunglasses:
