Is this price fair for an ‘08 with 214k miles?

I want to hear from everyone here. Got an ‘08 with 214k miles, and I’ve managed to get the price down to $13.5k. Ran a Carfax, and it’s been well-maintained over its life, nothing serious to worry about.

Thinking about buying it today, would you say this is a good deal?

That’s too high for that kind of mileage.

Yeah, I get it. But I’ll mostly use it as a second car, just for beach trips and fitting a baby seat. I also have an ‘03 Tacoma with almost 300k miles that I’m planning to sell.

@Dakota
Wait, does that thing still have value even with 300k miles? That’s surprising!

214k miles? I wouldn’t go over $10k.

Wow… my ‘08 has half those miles! Wonder how much I could get for it?

Probably around $15-16k.

That’s a lot for those miles. I picked up my 2010 with 150k for $12k in Idaho. Mine’s a V6 with a bed cap too.

Guess prices hit different here in California :sweat:

Nope, wouldn’t pay that much.

16k? Some people are just wild with these prices!

That’s a lot of miles for that price. What’s the Kelley Blue Book say?

KBB says $12.2k at most. Figured the camper shell adds about $1.2k, so maybe it evens out?

Honestly, $13.5k seems fair.

That’s what I thought too. Ideally, $10k would be better, but there’s just no options out there.

It’s just the way it is right now… supply and demand, I guess. Everything just keeps going up.

Anyone know how much that snugtop camper weighs?

Honestly, that’s pretty standard for a well-maintained one with high miles. I bought a 2010 Prerunner with 45k miles in 2021 for $20k. Now, with 100k miles, they still go for $20k or more. I’d try finding one with under 100k miles if you can, but they’re harder to come by now.

@Uma
I know, I’m seeing the same thing. Maybe the maintenance records make it worth it for peace of mind?

I’m selling my 2016 with 90k miles for $16k… is that too high? :grimacing:
