I’m looking to lift my ‘22 Tacoma SR by 2-3 inches and need some recommendations. Right now, I have the biggest tires you can fit without lifting or cutting (265/75R16). If I only do a 2-inch lift, should I go bigger, or will these still look good?

A 2-inch lift should be fine with those tires, but if you want a more aggressive look, you could go up a size.
What size would you recommend without needing to trim anything?

You could probably run 275/75R16 with no trimming, but anything bigger might require some mods.
I did a 3-inch lift on mine and went with 285s. Had to do some minor trimming but it looks great.

How bad was the trimming? I kinda want to avoid that.

Not too bad—just a little cutting on the mud flaps and a cab mount chop. Worth it for the stance.
If you’re mostly on-road, your current setup should be fine. No need to go bigger unless you want that off-road look.

Yeah, I do mostly highway driving, so I don’t want to kill my MPG either.

Then stick with your current size. Bigger tires = worse mileage.
What brand lift are you thinking about? Some kits work better than others with stock UCAs.

Not sure yet, still looking. Any recommendations?

Bilstein 5100s or OME kits are solid. Fox and King if you wanna spend more.
If you ever plan to off-road, might as well go 3 inches and bigger tires now instead of upgrading later.

Good point, but I don’t go off-road much. Just want it to sit a little higher.

Then 2 inches and your current tires should be good.
