Made the truck a little louder.

Looks like a solid upgrade! Did you notice a big difference?

It pulls air from the engine bay instead of the fender. It’s not ideal for performance but definitely adds some sound.
Some people hate on upgrades like this, but I think they’re fun. You’re making it your own! By the way, that color is awesome.

Thanks, man! It makes the daily commute way more enjoyable. Also, it’s not red—it’s called Inferno orange.
@Vale
Inferno orange? That’s even better! I wasn’t into orange before, but seeing it in person changed my mind.
@Vale
Best color out there, hands down.

Noted! I’ll handle it.
Just so you know, the factory airbox on your truck is the same one used for the Tundra 5.7L. Unfortunately, K&N filters don’t do a great job at keeping out dirt:
Next step? Borla Type-S cat-back exhaust. You’ll love it!
Be careful—my truck didn’t like a similar setup, and I struggled to find a factory airbox replacement.

Try eBay. I found a used one for under $150 when mine broke. Worth a look.
@Jules
I’ll check it out. Had an issue with rocks once, so I’m cautious.
How much louder does it sound now? Also, was the install tricky?
This looks really clean—nice work!
Not to sound old-fashioned, but why would you want it louder? Do you drive mostly in rural areas?
