Man I really love this truck, anyone else feel the same?

Took this shot the other day and just had to say how much I love this truck. It’s been such a fun build so far.

That’s a nice beach shot

That bumper looks great… what kind is it?

Thanks man, it’s a Pelfrey built aluminum bumper. Sadly they don’t make them anymore.

Ah that sucks, I’ve been trying to find something like that in aluminum too.

@Ren
Yeah sorry bro, I actually got the truck fully loaded with most of the stuff already installed except the wheels and headlights which I added myself. Both the front and back bumpers, roof rack, and bed rack are all no longer made so it’s hard to find info. What’s worse is the front wind visor on the roof rack is made for a light bar and I want a regular one but the company wants to charge me a crazy amount to make one since they stopped making parts for it lol.

@Jean
Honestly all you need is some 1/8 inch aluminum cut and powder coated to make a visor

Yeah I’ve been thinking about cutting out the light bar slot and just filling it in with the same material. I’m just not great at precise cuts or making sure the measurements are perfect.

@Jean
A local shop could probably make one for cheap, at least that’s how it is around where I live.

Man I can’t believe I didn’t think of that sooner, thanks bro lmaoo

Quick question from someone who surfs too… don’t your rods stick way past the tailgate? I’d be scared of snapping one.

I’ve got these rod holders that hold my 7ft rods really secured and my 12ft rod is a 2 piece and I just lay it diagonal and it rest on the tail gate and it sticks out maybe a couple inches. Not to say I don’t doubt your worries but I’m confident they won’t break on anything.

@Jean
Ah I see now. All my rods are like 10 to 11 foot one-pieces so I use a ski rack on the roof. Just wanted to see if you were putting those long rods on that mount.
