If you primarily need a truck for yourself or one other person and value cargo space, the Access Cab is a suitable choice. However, if you frequently transport passengers or prioritize comfort, the Double Cab might be more suitable.

They are used as grocery getters by 99% of owners of Tacomas. They are a v6 with the power and gas usage of a v8, but with only four cylinders.
Third gens haven’t really been modified in ten years, thus they don’t carry much.
Having said that, each time I get in mine, it feels sturdy but not like a huge truck; it’s also quiet and comfortable. For most people, it hauls just enough, there’s a sizable aftermarket, and they’re practically indestructible.
