I’m looking to buy a first-gen Tacoma, but I don’t know much about them. Hoping some of you with experience can help me out.
What I need:
- 4x4 (I live up north and need something that can handle rough winters)
- Decent gas mileage (was looking at the 4-cylinder, but I read that the V6 isn’t much worse on gas)
If the V6 is more reliable or cheaper to maintain, I’d definitely consider it. Let me know what you think.
I’m also good with manuals, so if there’s a strong reason to go that route, I’m open to it.
This will be a daily driver for work and back. Anything I should know before buying? Any common problems or must-have features? Would appreciate any advice.
