Looks awesome but I doubt we’ll ever get to buy it.

Why do they keep teasing these amazing concept cars if they never actually make them? What’s the point?

To get us talking, plain and simple.
Or maybe some kid sees it and thinks, ‘I’ll get a Toyota when I’m older.’
Or just to show off… because they can.

It’s all about promoting the parts, not the vehicle itself.
@Storm
Yeah, people forget you can get most parts separately or that different trim levels can be mixed and matched.

Man, if they brought back the Tacozilla from a while back, I’d be thrilled. Camping-ready!

Love that retro front end.

Couldn’t have said it better!
Bet it’ll cost $97,000… minimum!

Nah, this thing isn’t actually going to hit the market.

Dealership will probably bump it to $147k anyway.
Looks like someone described a 4Runner/Tacoma crossover to AI… and this happened.

I was thinking it looked like a Bronco/Tacoma mash-up.

It’s cool, but I’d really prefer if the Stout became a real thing.
The Stout? Nah, they’re calling the Hilux Champ that in Argentina.
It’s wild that Toyota focuses on concepts instead of building a vehicle people actually want. Ford’s cleaning up with the Maverick, and Toyota’s over here daydreaming.
Love it! When I was in Okinawa, my friends had Surfs. They’re the same as 4Runners in the U.S.

All you need is a ‘Surf’ decal, and you’re good to go!

I had a Surf SSR-X in the Philippines. Turbo diesel, factory off-road setup… hands down the best 4Runner ever.
@Whit
Yup, the diesel ones are legendary! I met folks in Thailand with them, and they were tanks.
