Stick with the stock wheels Steelies for the win

I like them but they’re starting to look old and rusty. I could get them blasted and painted, but since this is my only vehicle, I can’t have it down for too long

You could hand sand them and use some spray paint That’ll cost about $15 and take an hour Those same wheels are what I have too Mine are a bit rusty as well, but I prioritize having a budget-friendly vehicle

When I had a 5 Lug, I found a set of X-Runner wheels on eBay But I prefer the OEM look They’re 5 Lug and 18 inches

Thanks for the info @Flippa

You might also find wheels from a Toyota Highlander that fit well and could be cheaper

If you can manage it, rock those steel wheels Your truck looks good as it is I’ve got a 22 SR AC 4x4 with a 2.7 engine

I just picked up a set of 5 Lug OEM wheels for my First Gen from the dealer They weren’t cheap, but I’m glad I replaced them

Thanks for the reply I asked my local Toyota dealer, and they quoted me about $225 each Were yours around that price?

I don’t have the invoice with me, but by the time I bought five new wheels, five tires, and four hub covers, I spent nearly $1,800 So $225 per wheel sounds about right I even replaced the spare since it tends to rust more under the truck

Thank you for that info I’m amazed by how great my Tacoma is It’s been my daily driver for 16 years I paid $20.5K for it as a base fleet model and it has 118K miles No major repairs needed yet, but I could easily spend $2K on brakes, shocks, and such But I bet I could still sell it for $12K It’s a little 4-banger that just keeps going What a feeling

Oops, I meant 118K miles, not 180K
