What are the differences between SR5 and TRD Sport?

Hey ! I’ve been eyeing Tacomas for months now, trying to figure out what’s best for me. I’ve test-driven every trim because this will be my first truck, and I want to ensure I get something that suits me perfectly. Specifically, I’m looking for a double cab, 4x4 with a 6-foot bed. I understand this might be easier to find in a TRD Sport, which I found most enjoyable to drive. However, I’m curious about the real differences between the TRD Sport and the SR5, especially considering the price increase.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the SR5 and whether the upgrade to the TRD Sport is worth it. Thanks a lot! I’m excited to find the right truck and become part of this community.

In my opinion, the TRD is much better. The badging and interiors alone make it worth it. That said, I love my SR5 and have no plans to get rid of it.

I think it’s easy to avoid purchasing the SR5. While my 2020 LB TRD OR was being worked on, I was provided with a rental, an SR5. Compared to the SR5, the TRD boasts a better headunit, a nicer interior, and a few additional upgrades.

Why don’t you give the TRD Off Road some thought?
