What does SR5 mean for a Toyota Tacoma, Anyone?

Hey y’all, can someone explain what SR5 means for a Tacoma TRD Off-Road? :face_with_monocle: I just got an '08 access cab, and I’m a bit confused. I thought TRD OR and SR5 were different, but my truck has both badges. Anyone know what’s up?

SR5 means you’re broke, just not as broke as someone with a base SR. Sport trim is for mall crawlers who embrace it. OR? Mall crawlers who pretend to off-road… yeah, that’s me. :joy: PRO is for mall crawlers who spent way too much and still end up modding it.

Hey, :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: My PRO badge means I’m superior, and everyone should know it.

I off-road my Sport all the time. It’s hilarious watching people argue about trim levels like they actually matter :man_shrugging:

I have a PRO, and I’ve used my skid plate… on those super dangerous high-clearance curbs at the mall. :smirk:

OR for me means it’s my winter beater. I love plowing through 3 feet of snow without clearing my driveway. :tractor::snowflake:

You can admit it, man. It’s for when the mall forgets to clear the parking lot. :joy:

LOL, real talk. I gotta get to work to deliver stuff for all those people who can’t make it to the mall themselves. Also, gotta make sure meds get delivered too. That’s what I care about. :truck::pill:

I had a TRD Off-Road but didn’t wanna risk my $40K+ truck on New England trails with boulders and trees. I use my TRD Sport to commute, haul firewood, and stones. I’ve had Tacos since the '80s. Would love the new TRD Sport for retirement… but no access door? WTF, Toyota? :triumph:

Dude, relax. It’s just a joke. No need to overthink it. :joy:

Best explanation I’ve seen yet. As a proud mall crawler, I embrace it. :raised_hands:

They’re all good Tacos, Brent. Doesn’t matter what trim you got. :beers:
