Hey y’all, can someone explain what SR5 means for a Tacoma TRD Off-Road? I just got an '08 access cab, and I’m a bit confused. I thought TRD OR and SR5 were different, but my truck has both badges. Anyone know what’s up?
SR5 means you’re broke, just not as broke as someone with a base SR. Sport trim is for mall crawlers who embrace it. OR? Mall crawlers who pretend to off-road… yeah, that’s me. PRO is for mall crawlers who spent way too much and still end up modding it.
Hey, My PRO badge means I’m superior, and everyone should know it.
LMAO, facts though
Truth spoken right there
I off-road my Sport all the time. It’s hilarious watching people argue about trim levels like they actually matter
I have a PRO, and I’ve used my skid plate… on those super dangerous high-clearance curbs at the mall.
OR for me means it’s my winter beater. I love plowing through 3 feet of snow without clearing my driveway.
You can admit it, man. It’s for when the mall forgets to clear the parking lot.
LOL, real talk. I gotta get to work to deliver stuff for all those people who can’t make it to the mall themselves. Also, gotta make sure meds get delivered too. That’s what I care about.
I had a TRD Off-Road but didn’t wanna risk my $40K+ truck on New England trails with boulders and trees. I use my TRD Sport to commute, haul firewood, and stones. I’ve had Tacos since the '80s. Would love the new TRD Sport for retirement… but no access door? WTF, Toyota?
Dude, relax. It’s just a joke. No need to overthink it.
Best explanation I’ve seen yet. As a proud mall crawler, I embrace it.
They’re all good Tacos, Brent. Doesn’t matter what trim you got.
