I recently got a Toyota Tacoma and noticed the ECT Power button. Can someone explain what ECT Power is and how it works? When should I use it, and what benefits does it provide? Thanks for your help

The acronym for “Electronically Controlled Transmission Power” is ECT PWR. On Toyota cars, toggling the ECT and going into “power mode” is done by pressing the ECT power button. When the electronically-controlled transmission is in power mode, the engine can rev to slightly higher revolutions per minute (RPMs). The transmission’s shift points are improved as a result.
