How Does It Feel to Dive into the Toyota Tacoma(SPEAKTACOMA) Community After a Year of Observing?
After a year of watching from the sidelines, I’ve finally joined the club! I’m absolutely thrilled with my new Tacoma and its color. As a first-time Tacoma and truck owner, I couldn’t be happier. I’ve got the TRD Off-Road with the premium package and sway bar disconnect.
You increased the cost of your truck by 10-15% just to protect the paint. I can’t quite wrap my head around that.
And then an extra 10% just because they did the job? Those guys must be laughing all the way to the bank right now.
Those guys just washed the truck and called it a day.
That’s an outrageous price for the work. Getting full PPF and ceramic coating from a professional detailer would cost less than half of what OP paid. Plus, many of these trucks already come with some PPF from the factory.
People often spend that much on things that don’t even protect their paint, like dropping $5k on wheels and suspension just to drive their Toyota to Costco. I might be biased since I work at an auto styling shop, but I don’t get why it’s so hard to understand wanting to keep your paint in top shape, especially if you plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time.
Spending $5k on one thing is exactly the same as spending $5k on something else.
Exactly, that’s my point. People regularly spend that much on their cars for things that don’t even protect the vehicle.
I spent $6k on items that have actually made it easier for me to damage my truck.
