What Tacoma model has the most rear legroom?

Hi guys,

So I have a Highlander :red_car: and my husband has a Tundra :truck:. I’m thinking of trading in my Highlander and getting back into a truck. We don’t want another Tundra because of the cost :money_with_wings: and extra gas expenses :fuelpump:. But I’m worried the Tacoma might be too small in the back seat for our 7-year old who can’t use a booster seat for a few more years due to age and weight. I really want a Lunar Rock one since they don’t make Cavalry Blue anymore. What do you think? Thoughts?

If you’re worried about the Tacoma’s back seat size, consider taking your 7-year-old for a test ride to see if it’s comfortable enough. Also, check out the Toyota 4Runner or the Ford Ranger as they might offer more space without the high cost and gas expenses of a Tundra. The Lunar Rock color is a great choice—stylish and unique!

The Tacoma Double Cab model offers the most rear legroom among Tacoma variants. This configuration provides more spacious seating for rear passengers compared to the Access Cab model, making it a better choice for those prioritizing rear legroom.

Hi Jenny,
The Tacoma offers only one cab size with rear seats, known as the Double Cab. While it may not have the most spacious rear seats, it provides more legroom compared to the Access Cab, which features rear jump seats offering minimal legroom.

When I first got my Highlander, it felt like the perfect family vehicle with its spaciousness and comfort, but now, considering a switch back to a truck, I’m navigating between practicality and preference. My husband’s Tundra has been reliable but costly to maintain, prompting us to explore other options like the Tacoma for its size and fuel efficiency. However, with our 7-year-old still needing space in the back seat, I’m uncertain if the Tacoma will comfortably accommodate our family needs, especially without a booster seat for a few more years. The appeal of a Lunar Rock Tacoma, given its unique color, is strong, especially since the Cavalry Blue option isn’t available anymore. Balancing our desire for a truck with practical considerations for space and cost is key as we weigh our options.
