After researching online, it appears that the 2015 Tacoma is highly regarded among all generations. My own 2015 SR5 with a 6-speed transmission has been flawless with 78,000 miles on it. It hasn’t had any issues since I bought it, and the original brakes are still going strong. I primarily use it for hunting and transporting bee hives, and it’s proven reliable on several cross-country trips. As for my 2021 TRD Off-Road 4Runner, it’s been a solid performer as well.
They really are built to last. My 2015 SR5 with a 6-speed has been incredible at 78,000 miles. Not a single problem, even the original brakes are holding up! ha! ha! Hauls my bee hives and gets me to hunting spots with ease. Done a few cross-country trips too, and it’s never let me down. Love my new 4Runner too, but that Tacoma - just a fantastic truck…
