@Jessie
Yeah, I know. Tried to wait it out for a better deal, but this one had everything I needed, so I went for it.

That’s the reality now. People keep paying these prices, so they stay high. I paid about $45k for a 2022 off-road with 15k miles. Needed a truck, so here we are.
My truck burned down in August… was a 2018 OR with 70k kilometers. Insurance gave me $44k CDN. Prices are just nuts for Tacomas.

Yeah, the dealer had a 2022 TRD Pro with 22k miles listed for $37.5k. It’s only a couple thousand more for a five-year newer model, but they wouldn’t budge on price.

Honestly, I’d go for that deal.

I get that… but I want a manual, and I don’t want to spend $40k on a truck right now.
@Davis
Then you’re going to be looking at older, higher-mileage, or base models if you want something cheaper. Maybe an SR or SR5 instead of a TRD Pro…

They were just slightly over my budget. Just shocked the dealer wasn’t willing to negotiate to move something that’s been on the lot for so long. Not sure why people are downvoting my post just for asking.
@Davis
People sometimes just downvote good questions, no clue why. But if you’re only slightly off from your budget, maybe adjust a little either way. But yeah, TRD Pros are super pricey… mileage doesn’t matter too much on a Tacoma, they hold up.
@Perrin
Honestly, I just liked the color and the leather seats on the Pro, wasn’t too worried about mileage.

Might be worth it to go for a cheaper model and just make it your own with mods. There’s a ton of aftermarket stuff for Tacomas.
Seems like common sense is getting rare these days. If education funding gets slashed any more, it might just keep getting worse.

Time to live off the grid maybe?
