So, I’m considering leasing a Tacoma and I’m curious about the costs. Can anyone share what their monthly leasing payments are for their truck? I’d love to hear some real numbers from people who’ve already made the leap, just to get a better idea of what to expect.

I agree with that. I’m currently leasing a Tesla, and I wish I had more knowledge about it beforehand. To be honest, Tesla changed their lease terms midway through, so now I can’t buy it out as I originally planned.

Doesn’t that go against your contract? It seems odd that they could change the terms midway and prevent you from buying it out after you’ve already signed a written agreement.

I don’t think it was ever guaranteed in the contract.
At the time, Tesla only allowed buyouts in certain states. I live in one of the “allowed” states. In early 2022, tesla decided all model 3 and Y leases were no longer eligible for lease buyouts.

That’s quite interesting. I wasn’t aware they operated that way, curious to know the reason behind it. By the way, have you experienced any long-term issues with them? The only time I’ve driven Teslas was when I worked as a valet.

The build quality still has room for improvement, but the car drives exceptionally well. It’s exhilarating to feel that EV torque push you back in your seat. I did have to replace my battery because it had a defect and stopped holding a charge, but the replacement was free and covered by the warranty.
I don’t hear about many long-term issues from others. The Model 3 platform isn’t even a decade old yet, but many people have already driven them to 200,000 miles without major problems.
