Call your dealership. This is a known issue, and they should fix the third brake light gasket for free.
Mine took two and a half months to fix because of part delays.

Did they at least give you a loaner vehicle?
@Devi
Yep, drove a 2024 Tacoma. Going back to my old one was rough!
Your headliner looks wet. Maybe the third brake light gasket is shot?

Actually, now that I see both sides are wet, I’d bet money it’s the light gasket leaking.
I just had it in the shop for a month. Is this something I can fix myself?

If you try to fix it yourself, Toyota might not cover it. Better to let them handle it.

But it’s like a $10 and 15-minute job if you really want to DIY.
@Reagan
True, but if there’s mold or more damage, it might be worth having them check it under recall. They’ve got to deal with it if it’s on them.

You can grab the gasket online, it’s only a few screws. Super common on older Tacomas.
Had mine leak too, and Toyota covered a new carpet and seats under warranty. Get it checked.
Looks like that’s been leaking a while. Check for rust or mold and see if Toyota will fix the brake light seal.
Ask your dealership about the third brake light recall. It’s worth checking.
You can see where it’s leaking in the headliner. Hopefully they’ll cover it under the recall.
Had the same problem with my 2017. They had to clean mold from my truck roof.
The stains show a clear leak from the roof. Get that brake light issue sorted, and yeah, it’s free.
Might want to check if the bed light seal is an issue too.
Lesson learned… don’t leave your windows open during a wash.
Mine is a 2018.
My truck had the same problem. Very frustrating.
